RTPA Story

River Towns Plein Air (RTPA), now in its 5th year, is central Pennsylvania's premier outdoor painting event spotlighting original artwork completed on location in the historic Susquehanna River communities of Marietta, Columbia and Wrightsville PA. Twenty-five regional artists compete for over $5000 in cash awards during the culminating juried exhibition and sale held at the MH Art Gallery in Marietta, PA. RTPA is organized by Marietta Art Alive!, the arts-in-action team of RIVERTOWNES PA USA, a nonprofit organization dedicated to cultivating art, heritage and recreation in the lower Susquehanna River Valley.

MAA is the arts-in-action team of Rivertownes PA USA, and was organized to promote the enjoyment, creation & awareness of visual arts in the lower Susquehanna Valley river towns through community participation, education, demonstration & exhibition.
