The
RTPA Story

River Towns Plein Air (RTPA) is Lancaster County’s premier outdoor painting event spotlighting original artwork completed on location over a 7-day period in the historic Susquehanna River communities of Marietta, Columbia and Wrightsville PA. Fifty participating artists compete for over $5000 in cash awards during the culminating juried exhibition and sale held at the Marietta Community House / Studio 264.  RTPA is organized by Marietta Art Alive!, the arts-in-action team of RIVERTOWNES PA USA, a 501c3 organization dedicated to cultivating art, heritage and recreation in the lower Susquehanna River Valley.
 

Let’s Work Together

Marita Hines is a board member of Rivertownes PA USA and founding member of Marietta Art Alive! (MAA). MAA is the arts-in-action team of Rivertownes PA USA, and was organized to promote the enjoyment, creation & awareness of visual arts in the lower Susquehanna Valley river towns through community participation, education, demonstration & exhibition.  Other members of MAA are

Marianne Calenda, Melissa Carroll, Susan Davitti Darling, Joanne McIlvaine and Linda Mylin Ross.
